Anderson (1986) Bartzella is the best yellow Itoh Hybrid to date. Many new yellow intersectionals are being bred, but none are more beautiful than Bartzella. A beautiful, filled peony with soft lime-scented flowers up to 20 cm in size. Highly recommended for gardens and parks all over the world. The ornamental foliage remains green until frost and changes color to autumn shades in the autumn. The peony flowers in the middle of the season. It takes a few years before Bartzella is a "mature" plant. APS Gold Medal winner in 2006.
